Queridos amigos de todas las partes del mundo :), ya hemos llegado al ultimo dia del año y parece que uno siempre se para a reflexionar unos minutitos y mirar hacia atras para ver como ha sido el ultimo año :)
Dear friends from all over the world :) it is already the last day of the year and it looks like if we had to stop a little bit and think some minutes about how the year was :)
El año pasado, en este mismo dia, solo estaba pensando en que el proximo año, es decir, 2010 todo habria cambiado...y estaba super impaciente por saber como seria todo. Ahora aqui estoy, mirando como ha ido todo y pensando en todo lo que queda por venir.
Last year at this same time I was just thinking of how 2010 was going to be. I was about to have one of the biggest changes of my life and I was incredibly impatient to know. Here I am now, looking back and thinking there is still a lot more to come in the future.
Este ha sido el año de tesis, estar en Holanda, volver a España, arreglar absolutamente todo para irnos a Chicago, dejar nuestro piso holandes, volar miles de kilometros, terminar todo el trabajo de un laboratorio, llegar a otro, decir adios a nuestras familias y amigos...muchas cosas, muchas...
It's been a thesis year, living in Holland, come back to Spain, arrange everything to go to Chicago, leave our Dutch apartment, fly thousands of kilometers, finish all the work in one lab, start in another one, say goodbye to our friends and family...many things...
El momento clave fue el cambiarme de continente, me costo tanto esfuerzo y me estreso tanto que no me podia creer que ese momento hubiese llegado.
Dejar la casa de Holanda, estar a la espera de las becas, ver que la visa no llega, ayyyy!! todo ha pasado y ahora queda pensar en mas viajes, mas tiempo de estar separados de la familia y en como sera el futuro, pero en estos momentos solo me apetece ser positiva y pensar que al final de todo saldremos :)
The key moment of the year was changing of continent, not only country, hehe! it took me so much effort and stress that I couldn't believe the moment of leaving had arrived.
Leaving the Dutch house, with all our memories, waiting for the postdoctoral grants results, waiting for the visa!! now everything is finished and I'm still thinking of more trips, more time far from my family and how the future is going to be, but at this moment I don't want to be negative and I'm sure everything will be fine :)
Este año hemos vivido muchas emociones a nivel globa, jeje! que hemos ganado el mundial de futbol!! por ejemplo, pero la familia y amigos tambien nos han dado muchas alegrias ;)
Mari Loli, va a tener un niño muy prontito, asi que imaginaos si todo esto es especial :), muchos amigos han comprado sus nuevas casas, han terminado sus carreras, han tenido sobrinos, nuevos trabajos, otros han encontrado el amor...de todo!!
We have lived many emotional things this year. Spain won the world cup, uohhhh!!! but of course, family and friends also brought us many cheerful news :)
My friend Mari Loli is becoming a mother in about one month, so this year was really special for her and for all of us, some of my friends bought their future house, some finished their studies, some have found love...everything!!

Jamon!!

Una de las cosas comestibles que mas he echado de menos durante estos meses, ha sido sin duda el jamon!!! Lo cierto es que no soy una fanatica de la carne, pero un buen jamon es lo mejor del mundo :) Un buen jamon, puede ser tan delicioso! de verdad que lo echaba de menos y le pedi a mi madre que tuviese un buen jamon preparado para mi visita navideña, jeje!
One of the things I've missed the most during these months in USA is jamon!!! I'm not a big fan of meat, but jamon is the best thing ever :) I love it!! If it is good ham, it can be sooo delicious! I really missed it and I asked my mother to have one ready for my visit, hehe!

El mismo dia que llegue a casa (completamente muerta), sali por la tarde con mis padres a una tienda llamada "El reino iberico". Alli compramos lomo y otros embutidos ibericos, pero no compramos el jamon. Eso si, hice muchas fotos!! jeje!
The day I arrived home (completely destroyed) I went shopping with my parents. We were finishing with the last details for Christmas eve dinner. We went to a shop called "The Iberian kingdom (El reino iberico)". We bought different kinds of Iberian sausages, but we didn't buy ham there. I took many pictures there!

En Chicago he comprado muchos productos españoles y en especial manchegos, pero de momento no he encontrado jamon en los supemercados o tiendas donde compro normalmente, aunque seguire explorando :)
I've bought many Spanish products in Chicago, also from Castilla - La Mancha such as manchego cheese, but I still didn't find ham in the stores I usually buy. I'll keep on exploring :)

A continuacion, os muestro las fotos que he hecho de varios jamones, jaja! Primero en la tienda, despues los tenderos cortando, el jamon que tenemos en mi casa, mi madre cortando el jamon...en fin! muchas cosas! para todos mis amigos españoles esto es muy normal, pero estando ahora en España tengo que compartir mis experiencias con el resto de mis amigos :)

En casa. At home

Hola!! Despues de mi ultimo texto, tenia que contar que tal fue mi experiencia durante el viaje a casa :)
Como sabeis el viaje me habia creado bastante estres, jeje! y lo mismo me pasara cuando tenga que volver, pero como siempre, todo fue mucho mejor de lo que yo pensaba.
Llegue con bastante tiempo al aeropuerto, no habia mucha cola con lo que pase los controles de seguridad sin problemas. Hasta aqui me acompaño Thomas :) y despues de aqui...ya solita!
Todo estaba tranquilo en la terminal, movimiento de gente yendo y viniendo, pero sin complicaciones. En mi puerta de embarque habia mucha gente española, muchos de ellos postdocs que volvian a casa por Navidad, jeje!
Hi!! After my last post, I had to tell you how was my flight going back home ;). As you know I was very stressed thinking about the trip, hehe! and I'm sure it'll be the same when I have to fly to Chicago again, but it went a lot better than I thought.
I arrived on time to the airport, the lines were not too long and I passed all the controls successfully. Thomas was with me all the time until I went through the controls :) and after that I continued alone.
Everything was quiet and normal at the terminal, people going here and there, no problems. I met many Spanish people at the boarding gate, many of them were postdocs :) going back home for Christmas.


El avion llego a tiempo y como todo el mundo tiene sus asientos asignados, no hay prisas, colas, empujones ni nada, como pasa en el caso de los vuelos de Ryanair. Mi sitio estaba un poco lejos de la pantalla para ver las pelis, la siguiente pantalla estaba justo encima de mi cabeza :)
The plane arrived on time and since everyone had assigned seats no one had to race to reach their seats as it happens in the Ryanair planes. My seat was a bit too far from the screen to watch movies and the next one was just on top of my head :).

El avion tenia muy buena pinta, aunque los asientos no eran tan comodos como los del avion de Air Lingus. Tampoco teniamos pantalla tactil individual, como en el anterior, aunque tambien habia pantallas para ver las peliculas y muchisimos canales de musica. La ruta que seguimos fue: Chicago-Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec-Santiago de Compostela-Madrid, 7 horas y 45 minutos.
The plain was incredible, even though the seats were not as comfortable as the seats of Air Lingus. We didn't have individual touch screen as in the previous plain, but we also had screens to watch some movies and also, many music channels. The route was: Chicago-Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec-Santiago de Compostela-Madrid, 7 hours and 45 minutes.
La cena se sirvio despues de una hora de vuelo y la comida era bastante buena para ser comida de avion, jeje! despues una peli y al final del vuelo el desayuno :)
Tuve mucha suerte de tener un buen compañero de viaje. Conoci a un chico venezolano que estudiaba en Boston, tenia su portatil y una pelicula "Malditos bastardos", ya la habia visto, pero dura mas de dos horas y es genial para pasar el tiempo en el avion.
Dinner was served after one hour and the food was pretty good, considering it was in a plain :) after that there was a movie and we also had breakfast at the end of the flight :)
I was very lucky I had a nice flight partner, hehe! I met a guy from Venezuela who was studying in Boston. He let me watch "Inglorious basterds" with his laptop and we talked for almost the 8 hours of flight. Thanks to him time went by faster.
Aunque en ocasiones el vuelo se hizo muy pesado, todo salio estupendamente. Aterrizamos a tiempo en la T4 de Barajas y despues de casi 20 minutos de camino, pude encontrar la cinta para recoger mi maleta que contenia rollitos de canela, agujeros de donut, "scones" y una tarta de calabaza entre otras cosas :).
Entonces fue cuando empezo mi jet lag gigante!!! Eran la 1 am de Chicago, 8 am de Madrid, pero en vez de irme a la cama, el dia empezaba otra vez!!! ay!!!
Even though the flight was heavy everything was perfect. We landed in Madrid on time and after 20 minutes walking I could find the belt to pick my suitcase up (with cinnamon rolls, donut holes, coffee scones and pumpkin pie) :)
It was then when my huge jet lag started!! It was 1 am in Chicago and 8 am in Madrid, but instead of going to bed, the day was starting!! aahhh!!
Aun me quedaba coger el tren para llegar a mi casa, otros 15 minutos en taxi y 50 de tren, pero bueno ya estaba casi en casa con mis padres. Ellos me esperaban en la estacion y por supuesto, me puse a llorar cuando les vi :)
I still had to take the train to go home. 15 minutes of taxi and 50 minutes by train, but I was almost home with my parents. They were waiting for me at the train station and of course, I started crying when I saw them :)
Los primeros dias estaban empezando, jeje! mi jet lag me ha estado matando durante tres dias y lo contare en otro texto, pero ademas estoy disfrutando de buena comida, de calidad, buen precio y lo mejor, mis amigos y lo mejor, de lo mejor: mi familia :)
The first day was starting, hehe! my big jet lag has been killing me for 3 days and I'll write about it in the next post, but the most important thing is I'm enjoying Spain, good food, people, my friends and the best thing: my family :)

24 hours to fly. 24 horas para coger el avion

Hola! No me lo puedo creer y es que ya han pasado 5 meses y una semana desde que llegue a Chicago. Mi avion sale mañana a las 16:45 de O'hare international. En estos momentos tengo una mezcla de emociones rarisima, estoy muy nerviosa y no se hasta cuando me va a durar este estado.
Hola! I can't believe I've been here 5 months and 1 week. My flight departures tomorrow at 16:45 from O'hare international. I'm feeling pretty emotional and I have a mix of feelings that I don't know exactly how to describe. I also don't know for how long I will feel in this state...


Nunca he estado fuera de casa tanto tiempo, cuando vivia en Holanda iba a casa cada 3 o 4 semanas, pero nunca habia estado 5 meses sin ver a mis padres, familia, amigos, etc.
Durante este tiempo he sentido de todo: me he sentido querida, triste en algunos momentos, olvidada en otros, preocupada muchas veces, feliz en otras ocasiones...no se, es una montaña rusa de sentimientos.
I've never been far from my family for such a long time. When I was living in Holland I used to visit my parents every 3 or 4 weeks, but never 5 months without seeing them.
During this time I've felt all kind of things: I've felt loved, sad, forgotten, worried, happy, like in a roller coaster of feelings.
Algunas veces no puedo esperar mas para ir a casa, a veces lloro pensando que estas dos semanas se van a pasar volando y que tengo que estar sin ver a mis padres y hermano otros no se cuantos meses...
Sometimes I feel I cannot wait anymoer to go home, sometimes I cry just thinking it is less than two weeks and then I'll have to wait again many months to see my family again.
Lo peor es que cada uno vamos a nuestros paises, la visita es muy corta para pasar tiempo en España y Holanda y poder disfrutar ambos de nuestras familias, por lo que nos toca estar separados en Navidad :( y eso me fastidia, la verdad...
The worst part is that we are going to visit our families to our own countries, so no Christmas together for us. It is too short to fly in between and also, the time with our families would be not enough, so we won't be together for Christmas and that sucks...
Otro asunto importante es el vuelo, siempre me estresa y mas cuando son largos. Ultimamente he desarrollado una especie de miedo a volar y aunque intento estar tranquila, os aseguro que mis niveles de adrenalina son bastante altos :)
Another issue is the flight. I'm always stressed when I have to fly and more if they are long flights. Lately I've developed a kind of flying phobia and even though I try to stay calmed, my levels of adrenaline are still pretty high :)
El tiempo no acompaña mucho ultimamente, no se si va a nevar, llover, etc. Espero que no se cancele el vuelo ni nada por el estilo. Al aterrizar pasa un poco lo mismo, el tiempo en Europa no es para tirar cohetes en estas ultimas semanas. Si todo sale bien, voy a ser muy afortunada :)
The weather is not great lately. I still don't know if it is going to snow, rain, etc. I hope the flight doesn't get canceled. The weather in Spain is a bit better, but it is raining and it is not very nice. If everything is ok I'm going to be very lucky!
Aun tengo que preparar la maleta, los papeles, etc. No soy capaz de terminar nada porque estoy demasiado nerviosa y aun no se como voy a reaccionar cuando vea a mi familia, cuando vea que se acerca el momento de volver otra vez, no se...
Espero estar mas tranquila en el avion y escribir un poco acerca del vuelo y sobre todo, de una manera mas divertida :). Cuando este en España tambien escribire para contarle a todos mis amigos no españoles como es nuestra tradicion navideña y para mostrar ese jamon iberico que me esta esperando!!
I still have to pack my suitcase, forms, etc. I'm not able of finishing anything because I'm too nervous and I don't know how I will react when I see my family, when I have to come back to US again, etc.
I hope to be more quiet tomorrow so I can write about the plain, the flight, etc in a more relaxed and funny way :). Of course, I'll write when I'm in Spain so all my non-Spanish friends can know our traditions and also, I have to show the delicious iberian ham that is waiting for me!!
Asi es como me siento en estos momentos. El balance de estos meses de trabajo es muy positivo, estoy muy feliz aqui, el trabajo me encanta y espero sacar los mejores resultados posibles. Emocionalmente, es un tiempo duro y es que por un lado o por otro, al final siempre hay distancia.

The windy city...La ciudad del viento

Antes de venir a Chicago todo el mundo nos decia que veniamos a la "ciudad del viento". Desde entonces, ha habido varios dias en los que el viento soplaba bastante fuerte, pero nada muy sorprendente, hasta que hoy y especialmente durante la pasada noche, el viento ha soplado como nunca habia oido en mi vida.
Hemos sido bastante afortunados en cuanto al tiempo por aqui, el verano fue muy bueno y las temperaturas han sido agradables casi hasta diciembre. Luego empezo a nevar y a bajar la temperatura, la semana pasada llegamos a los -10 C, pero no se estaba muy mal. Esta semana la temperatura no ha estado nada mal, alrededor de -3 C y subiendo hasta 0 C. Las previsiones para manana son de casi -16 C, asi que ya os contare que tal lo llevo :))
Esta manana he hecho un video donde trato de captar el sonido que hace el viento, no hemos podido casi abrir las ventanas porque habia muchisima corriente y ademas, la nieve esta volando. Durante la noche parecia que estaban tirando cubos de agua contra nuestras ventanas, madre mia!
Ahora mismo hay nieve, muy fina pero hay una gran ventisca que esta empeorando por momentos, menos mal que solo tengo libre el domingo y puedo estar en casa calentita :)

Before coming to Chicago everyone told us we were going to the windy city. Since then, there have been many days with a very strong wind, but nothing really shocking for us. Today it is not like that and especially during the night, the wind has been blowing really, really strong, probably the strongest wind I've ever seen...
We've been very lucky here with the weather. The summer was very nice and the temperatures have been very normal almost until December. Then it became colder and colder and it started snowing. Last week the temperatures dropped to -10 C and we also had snow and ice. This last week it was not so cold, around -3 C and even going up to 0 C. The weather forecast for tomorrow is slightly colder...with max of - 7 C and minimum of -16 C, let's see...
I've made a movie from our window today in the morning trying to catch the noise of the wind, I don't know if you can really appreciate it. We couldn't almost open the windows because there were too strong winds and also, the snow is very thing and the wind is making it fly :)
During the night I felt as if someone were throwing buckets of water against our windows, hehe!
The blizzard is getting worse and worse and I'm happy I don't work on Sundays and I can stay warm and nice at home :). As we say in Spain: "al mal tiempo, buena cara" (if the weather is bad, show your best face), more applicable to a bad period of time, but also for the weather.
Let's keep positive always! :)

Preparada para el invierno. Ready for winter

Desde hace un par de semanas llevo este abrigo y casi todos los dias estas botas, son super calentitos!! es especial para temperaturas hasta -25 C y resistente al agua, las botas tambien. Me encantan! aun no he pasado frio con ellos. Los guantes solo me los he puesto una vez y son demasiado, esperare a que haga mas frio. Besos!!

This are the coat, the boots and the gloves I'm wearing currently. I started wearing them a couple of weeks ago and I'm really happy with them. The coat is special for low temperatures (-25 C) and the boots are waterproof special for snow :), I wear them almost everyday. The gloves are still to thick and I didn't feel it was so cold, so I'll wear them soon.

American driving license. El permiso de conducir americano

Hola a todos!! hoy os voy a hablar sobre "DMV" Department of motor vehicles, aunque aqui en Illinois se llama de otra forma :) Como sabeis no tenemos coche y en principio no planeamos comprar nada de nada, pero de vez en cuando estaria bien poder alquilar un coche e ir a algun sitio que no sea Chicago. Algunas veces, incluso seria genial para poder ir a comprar a algun sitio mas barato que donde compramos habitualmente.
Hi everyone! today I'll write about the DMV (Departmen of motor vehicles), even though it has a different name here in Illinois :)
As you know we don't have a car and we still didn't think about buying one, but it would be very nice if we could rent a car from time to time and go somewhere else, not only Chicago. It would be nice also renting a car to go to the store and bring heavy stuff, etc. Hay algunas companias de alquiler de vehiculos que estan muy bien, te puedes hacer socio y por tan solo 9 $ al mes puedes alquilar un coche cuando quieras y pagar por horas. El caso es que para poder unirte a estas companias necesitas tener un carnet americano o un documento de tu pais de origen donde se demuestre que no has causado ningun accidente y que tu historial de trafico esta limpio. Este documento no es tan facil de conseguir, asi que la otra opcion es sacarnos nuestro carnet americano :)
There are some car rental companies that look great here, you can become a member and for only 9 $ per month you can rent a car and pay only for the hours you use it.
The only thing is that you need an American driving license or a document from your country demonstrating you have a clean traffic history if you want to join these companies. This is not so easy to get, so the other option is getting our own American license :) Todo parecia sencillo y no un gran esfuerzo, solamente ir a Chicago con los papeles necesarios y con suerte, tener un nuevo carnet de conducir americano...uno de mis compis del laboratorio lo hizo asi y todo fue bien, asi que nosotros pensamos que seria igual, pues no! Han hecho falta tres viajes y aun no tenemos licencia americana :)
Everything looked easy, not big deal, only going to Chicago with all the necessary forms and luckily, we would have our license. One of my lab mates got it not so long ago and we thought it would be the same for us. We were wrong! 3 trips to Chicago and we still don't have our license :)
Viaje 1: somos tan inteligentes que no nos dimos cuenta de que era el dia de los veteranos y por consiguiente, uno de los unicos dias en que este departamento esta cerrado. Se nos quedo cara de gili... cuando llegamos alli tan decididos y estaba todo cerrado. Cogimos el tren de vuelta, menos mal que habia una conexion expres.
Trip 1: we are so intelligent that we didn't realize it was Veterans day and one of the few days the DMV is closed. So stupid! we arrived there so happy and we found everything dark and closed. Ok, train back to Evanston, at least it was the express train.
Viaje 2: nos llevamos todos los papeles necesarios, incluso Thomas tiene un documento de la embajada holandesa con su historial de trafico. Llegamos alli y nos dicen que nos hace falta la tarjeta de la seguridad social, justo lo unico que no teniamos!! genial! otro viaje para nada!
Trip 2: we took all the necessary papers, Thomas even had the document from the Dutch embassy with his traffic history. We arrived there and they told us we needed our social security card. It was just the only thing we didn't have with us! great! one more trip! for nothing!
Viaje 3: nos llevamos todo, todo y todo, el pasaporte, la visa, el carnet de conducir de nuestros paises, la tarjeta de la seguridad social, un cheque...llegamos alli y nos dan una lista de cosas! hoy! y por que no el dia anterior?? no, hoy!!!!! hoy no llevabamos el contrato del alquiler del piso...y no teniamos dos documentos de correos donde figurase nuestra direccion. Yo tenia uno y Thomas, ninguno, ay!!
Trip 3: we took absolutely everything with us, passport, visa, driving license, social security card, checks...we arrived there again and they gave us a list with the the things we were supposed to bring. That happened today! why today and not last time we went there??? today we didn't have our apartment lease with us. We also needed two pieces of mail with our current address. I had one, but Thomas didn't!
Por suerte, hemos llamado por telefono a la oficina de nuestro bloque de apartamentos y nos han mandado por fax el contrato. Que alivio!! pues no! el contrato estaba solo a nombre de Thomas...para eso hago yo todo el papeleo del piso??? para eso pago??? madre mia! que mala leche! pero bueno...nos ha servido! Nos ha servido para que nos den un documento de identificacion americano, con el podemos ir a otro departamento y hacer un test escrito, uno practico (donde tenemos que llevar nuestro propio coche) y uno fisico para que nos den una licencia de conducir...
Luckily we phoned the office of our block of apartments and they faxed our lease. What a relief! but there was something wrong again, the lease was only in Thomas' name. Why did I fill in all those forms? why do I pay the rent??? mf...I was so pissed! but well, in the end it was useful, but only to get our state ID and with it we can go somewhere else for a driving test (where we have to take our own car, heheheeh!) and a writing test.
Por fin nos han dado numero, el 305 tenia yo, me ha recibido un "secretario de estado" con un "que puedo hacer por ti, carino?" y me han dado ganas de contestarle: "pues muchas cosas, pero bueno, dejemoslo en que me arregles los papeles".
He rellenado todo, nombre completo, direccion, edad, color de pelo, de ojos, altura, peso (encima, me he equivocado al pasar de kilos a libras y me he puesto libras de mas...ay, madre!) y me he hecho donante de organos, que generosa!
They gave us a number, finally! I had 305 and I was helped by a state secretary who received me with a "what can I do for you, honey?"...uf! he could have done many things, including giving me my driving license...
I filled in all the forms, name, age, hair and eyes color, height, weight (I was wrong converting kilos to pounds and I added some extra pounds to my real weight) and I became organ donor, because I'm so generous!
Despues de esto y de resolver algunos fallos que el secretario de estado ha cometido en mis papeles...he podido pagar (20 $) y hacerme una foto para el carnet del estado de Illinois.
After this and some mistakes the state secretary did on my forms I was able to pay and take a picture for me ID.

Mientras esperabamos alli, he decidido hacer un video, espero que os guste, especialmente cuando Thomas intenta aguarme la fiesta. Ahora ya tengo documentacion americana autentica, pero aun tengo que ir a hacer un nuevo examen de conducir...creo que voy a suspender!! ahhhhh!!!
While we were waiting I decided to make a movie, I hope you like it, especially when Thomas tries to spoil it. We have now our American IDs, but we still have to go for a driving test and I think I'm going to fail!! ahhhhh!!!!

Hot pot in Chinatown. Hot pot en Chinatown

El viernes pasado despues de trabajar, fuimos con mis companeros a Chinatown en Chicago para cenar "hot pot" en uno de los restaurantes de esta zona. Este evento se organizo en honor a Patricia, una de nuestras companeras de Eindhoven que tambien ha estado aqui trabajando durante 8 meses. Fue una especie de cena de despedida, ya que la semana que viene vuelve a Holanda.
Last Friday after work we went with my colleagues to Chinatown in Chicago to eat hot pot! This dinner was organized for Patricia, one of our colleagues in Eindhoven who has also been working here in Chicago for eight months. It was a kind of farewell party for her...we are very sad she is leaving next week back to Holland.
El hot pot consiste en hervir tu propia comida en una olla grande que se situa en el centro de la mesa. Nos repartimos en dos mesas y en cada una habia dos ollas, divididas a su vez en dos partes, una con caldo picante y otro normal.
Nos trajeron varias bandejas con comida, carne de cerdo y cordero, gambas, pescado, bolas de gambas, bolas de pescado, tripas de ternera, calamares, noodles y verduras.
Una vez que la comida esta en la mesa, cada uno coge lo que quiere con sus palillos y lo echa en la olla, una vez cocido, se come :)
Hot pot consists on boil your own food in a big pot that is in the center of the table. We had two tables and in the center of each one there were two pots. Each pot was divided in two parts, a spicy one and a non-spicy one.
We also had two trays with all kind of things, pork and lamb meat, shrimp, ground fish balls, ground shrimp balls, beef stomach, squid, noodles and vegetables.
Once the food is on the table, each one can cook whatever feels like ant take it with the chopsticks :)
La verdad es que fue muy divertido, especialmente para algunos de mis companeros que estaban muy emocionados con el hot pot, jeje!
Me gusto mucho como actividad social, de grupo, etc, pero siendo muy sincera, la comida no me gusto mucho...
La experiencia fue muy positiva en cuanto al grupo, las risas y el relax y me unire en las siguientes ocasiones aunque no me guste mucho la comida.

The truth is that is was a lot of fun, especially for some of my colleagues who were really excited about the hot pot :). The experience was positive and social and I liked doing group activities, laughing and relaxing. I'll join for future hot pots again, even though I didn't like much the food...sorry!

No se si Thomas se unira de nuevo debido a un pequeno percance que tuvo el otro dia, jeje! se trago una guindilla o algo extra, ultra picante y por un momento crei que le daba algo y no podia respirar. Todos los que me conoceis sabeis que estoy completamente traumatizada con gente que se atraganta, asi que imaginaos lo que esto fue para mi...pero bueno, seguimos vivos!!
I don't know if Thomas will join again. He experienced a small inconvenience the other day, hehe! he swallowed an ultra spicy chili and he almost stops breathing...everyone who knows me knows I'm terrified when people choke, so this was not a very nice moment. Anyway, we are still alive!!
